This semester, we will be using the bundled tools built by Kritik Education. VisibleAI (writing authorship) is now built directly into Kritik, so you'll be able to access all VisibleAI features without leaving the Kritik platform.
About the tools:
Kritik360 is a peer-to-peer learning and evaluation platform. Kritik puts you, the student, at the center of your learning. Kritik is focused on an important goal: to help you develop critical thinking and communication skills, which in turn set you up for success both in and out of the classroom.
VisibleAI is a feature focused on AI transparency and literacy that will build trust between you and your instructor based on the composition of your work. VisibleAI enables instructors and students to better understand and manage AI use in academic work, removing the uncertainty around AI-generated content. With the bundle, VisibleAI is now seamlessly integrated within Kritik, so you can compose your work directly inside Kritik with all of VisibleAI's authorship tracking built right in.
Each Kritik activity has 3 unique stages:
Stage 1: Create — You will see the VisibleAI editor, which is where you will compose your work. Scroll up to locate the assignment instructions and read the provided rubric. Once you have familiarized yourself with the assignment details, begin typing into the VisibleAI editor. To learn more about the VisibleAI Insights, refer to this help article.
Stage 2: Evaluate — Anonymously score your peers based on the rubric in Kritik, and provide written comments.
Stage 3: Feedback — Provide your peer evaluators anonymous feedback in Kritik based on how motivational and critical their written comments were.

PLEASE NOTE: If you have previously used Kritik360 and VisibleAI, you would have used the tools on separate web apps. VisibleAI is now fully integrated within Kritik, meaning you'll have access to the complete VisibleAI functionality directly inside the Kritik platform. There is no need to switch between tools. Once your assignment is submitted in the Create stage, the Evaluate stage will begin. Here, you'll be able to see your peers' submissions, along with their assignment insights from VisibleAI, all within Kritik.
Grading
When you participate in these activities, you will receive 3 scores: Creation score, Evaluation score, and Feedback score. The weighted average of these three scores will determine your Overall score for that activity. The Grading Scheme can be found in the course info section in Kritik.

To register and access Kritik (with VisibleAI included), follow these steps:
For Non-LMS-Integrated Courses:
An email invitation will be sent to your school email account containing information on how to register for a Kritik account and enroll in the course. Once enrolled, you'll have access to both Kritik360 and VisibleAI features directly within the platform.
For LMS-Integrated Courses:
Email invitations are no longer sent for LMS-integrated courses. To register and access Kritik, follow these steps:
Log in to your LMS (e.g., Canvas, Blackboard, etc.).
Navigate to the course where Kritik has been integrated.
Locate and click on the Kritik launch link provided in the course.
Follow the on-screen prompts to register for a Kritik account and enroll in the course.
Note: Once you register and pay to enroll on Kritik, you'll automatically have access to VisibleAI features within the platform, no additional registration or paywall required.
How to get help
If you have any questions about Kritik, please use the Live Chat inside the platform. A human agent will respond promptly within a few minutes from 9am-5pm Eastern Time, Monday to Friday. Outside of these hours, you'll receive a reply that they will be back the next business day, but don't worry!
