The Similarity Report is a tool that helps instructors identify any instances of plagiarism in student submissions stemming from students submitting similar work to their peers. This feature ensures that all work submitted is original and adheres to the highest standards of academic honesty.

Instructors can choose which courses or specific activities would scan for similarities by enabling the Similarity Report setting either in the course or activity settings.

Once an activity enters the grading stage, all student submissions will automatically be scanned to identify any potential instances of plagiarism. The report compares the submitted content against all previous submissions in the instructor's current and past courses.

If the system detects any significant overlaps that indicate potential plagiarism, the creation will be flagged for the instructor to review.

Please note that for creations with attachments, the Similarity Report is currently limited to docx and pdf files for now.
