Uploading a file
When attaching work to Kritik assignments, file upload permissions are dependent on whether instructors have allowed submission by file. This will be evident if you can see an option to "Attach a file" under the textbox.
Under this function, you will also see a note that the maximum file upload size is 200mb. This size pertains to the limit per file, not limit on all combined files in a collective submission.
Uploading a file that is too large
If you are trying to upload a file that is too large, here are some tips on how to submit your work in an alternative format:
Upload your work to Google Docs/Slides/Sheets or Google Drive and share in the Creation textbox the link to view your work. Make sure the permissions are set for anyone to view this by link so that your evaluators don't run into viewing trouble.
Try to download your work in an alternative format.
Try to compress or reduce your file size or choose to save it as the smallest option. There are many resources online that can help with this!
Preview a File
You can preview supported files directly in Kritik. This allows you to view submitted files without the need to download them first. If a file isn't supported for preview, you will still have the option to download it to your device.
List of supported file extensions for preview:
PDF
DOCX (Microsoft Word)
PPTX (Microsoft PowerPoint)
XLSX (Microsoft Excel)
JPG
JPEG
PNG
To preview a file:
Navigate to the file you want to view.
Click on the file name or preview icon.
The file will open in a preview window if it is a supported format.
If you run into any trouble or have questions regarding file submission, don't hesitate to reach out to Kritik Support through the Live Chat at the bottom right corner of your screen.
