The Spotlight feature allows you to showcase exceptional creations and written evaluations done by your students to the rest of the class. Spotlighting allows students to have equitable access to viewing exemplary work so that they can better understand what’s expected of them. Spotlighted creations can also serve as great additions to study guides, depending on the activity type.
When you spotlight, the anonymity of the author of the creation and/or evaluation is preserved. The student whose work is being spotlighted will be sent a congratulatory email notification.
TIP: You may want to sort your activity’s student list based on highest scores to easily find the best creations to spotlight.
Spotlight Recommendations:
When activities transition from Evaluate to Feedback, instructors receive an email with suggested student creations based on the highest creation scores. The email includes a button directing them to Kritik, where they can see the suggested spotlights within their account. The spotlight reasoning would be pre-filled based on how but the student performed against the different rubric criteria. The instructor has the ability to edit the spotlight reasoning.
