How to Add Kritik to Your D2L Brightspace Course - Instructors Guide

Now that Kritik is available directly within D2L Brightspace at your institution, adding it to your course modules only takes a few clicks. Follow along as we walk you through how to add Kritik to any module within your course.

Step 1: Log into D2L Brightspace and navigate to the course you'd like to add Kritik to

Step 2: Click on 'Content', found on the top navigation bar

Step 3: Select the Module where you'd like Kritik to appear

Step 4: Click the 'Existing Activities' dropdown, and then click 'External Learning Tools'

Step 4: Click 'Create New LTI Link'

Step 5: Now, you're going to add the Kritik link in the 'LTI URL' box:

For Canadian Schools: https://ca.kritik.io/api/v1/lti

For U.S. Schools: https://us.kritik.io/api/v1/lti

Note: Make sure to title it as 'Kritik', so that it's easy to find.

You'll only need to add the Kritik LTI URL link the very first time per course. Kritik will appear in your menu when you click into External Learning Tools in any module in your course in the future, and you can simply select it.

Step 6: Click 'Create and Insert'

Step 7: Kritik will now be available in your module for you and your students. Click into the Kritik link to ensure that it opens

You're all set!

Kritik is now live within your D2L Brightspace course and ready to go.
